Don't worry I'm going to stop these posts now. We don't need to think about this any longer.
This is a really great show. OK, well not really great, but interesting and involving at the least. Have you ever seen it? It basically profiles the recording process of some really great records... Fleetwood Mac's Rumours, Queen's A Night At The Opera, Nirvana's Nevermind.
I guess in a lot of ways it's just another Behind The Music. But because it specifically deals with the recording process, I like it a whole lot better. I admit that I'm right now watching the one about Def Leppard's Hysteria. That's a definite guilty pleasure record of mine. Mutt Lange is such an interesting guy to me. Total perfectionist... does everything way more and bigger than he should. 20 guitar tracks. 100 vocal tracks. His background vocals on everything he does. But how many hits do his records always have? It's pretty ridiculous.
Anyway, completely enthralling post. I know.
